Creating a Slide

Each slide consists of:

• Image - The background image for the slide. Use high-resolution images for best results (recommended: 1920x800px or wider).
• Title - Optional overlay heading text displayed on top of the image.
• Subtitle - Optional overlay body text below the title.
• Link - Optional URL that the slide links to when clicked. Can be an internal path or external URL.
• Order - Numeric value that determines slide position in the carousel. Lower numbers appear first.

Ordering

Slides are displayed in ascending order by their order field. To rearrange slides, edit their order values. Gaps in numbering are fine (e.g., 10, 20, 30 makes it easy to insert new slides later).

Carousel Settings

The carousel's behavior and appearance are configured in Site Config > Hero / Slider, not on individual slides. Available settings include:

• Slide speed - Milliseconds between automatic transitions (default: 5000ms).
• Pagination icon - Shape of the navigation dots (circle, square, or triangle).
• Show arrows - Left/right navigation arrows.
• Show dot nav - Pagination dots below the carousel.
• Show bottom shadow - Gradient overlay for text readability on busy images.

Status Workflow

• Draft - Slide is not displayed on the homepage.
• Live - Slide is active and appears in the carousel.
• Archived - Slide is removed from the carousel but preserved.

If no slides have live status, the homepage hero section will not render. At least one live slide is needed for the carousel to appear.
